Teaching music is maybe my favorite thing to do. Here’s a video from my last student concert (which is more of joyful jam then a recital.) 6 year-old Hela is leading this tune on the Ukelele while a few of my other students dance and sing along.
Here’s another student at one of my recitals improvising on Bach’s cello suites.
Below you can check out a song recorded by two of my first guitar students, Nate and Ben; and, Nikolai, who studies bass with me. This song has already received almost 25,000 hits on YouTube, so I imagine they are going places.
I also have a weekly group classes with pre-schoolers and elementary school kids and few great students much older then me. A few professional musicians have studied with me over the years as well.
Feel free to contact me if you are interested in coming in for lessons, I teach out of my Inwood Studio and created a small music Studio with Ruben Gonzales called the Joy of Music Studio. I’m excited that a book of arrangements that I wrote with Famoro Dioubate is now being used in classrooms.
